Two-storey coastal home project designed to provide sea-side views. The site takes advantage of its high retained level, having a clear vantage point above neighbouring homes to its west and maintaining views of the nearby ocean from the alfresco and pool-side sitting areas.
Pool-side views to the ocean
The upper storey ensures ocean views from the master bedroom suite and balcony living spaces. The traditional form of the home and contrasts with the the indoor/outdoor entertaining areas that extend towards the sea. The outdoor living spaces are designed with functionality in mind and can be used in most weather conditions throughout the year. Adjustable louvers to the south and fixed full height windows to the west provide sufficient protection from the strong SW winds and rain.
The owners intention was for this indoor/outdoor space feel open and welcoming, being deliberately positioned by the pool to create a sense of connection with the water and cabana towards the opposite side. This resort style retreat is intended as a place where the owners can regularly entertain visitors, open spaces allowing for flexible seating arrangements and all spaces designed to capture ocean views.

The main indoor/outdoor space is well equipped with a fully functional outdoor kitchen with built in BBQ, built-in seating with lift-up storage, stone clad fire place to the outdoor dining area, seamless glass balustrades throughout and a detached pool-side cabana with gas fire pit.
